Updated COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

COVID-19 Health & Safety

Miami New Drama’s COVID policy has been informed by guidance from CDC, Florida Department of Health, Actors’ Equity Association, Miami-Dade County and City of Miami Beach health officials, as well as Miami New Drama’s medical advisors.

The safety of our patrons, artists and staff is our top priority. We recognize that evolving protocols may not align with everyone’s preferences, and we assure you these guidelines have been developed with serious consideration.

As always, we will continue to monitor the professional guidance and assess and update our protocols as needed to fit our changing environment.

We value your trust and look forward to welcoming you back to the Colony Theatre for an incredibly strong finish to the 21-22 season and for our upcoming season!

CURRENT POLICY

  1. As of April 1st, 2022 masks are NO LONGER REQUIRED at the Colony Theatre. Masks are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED as an added precaution while in crowded areas.
  2. Covid status verification, such as proof of a dated negative COVID-19 Antigen or PCR test or voluntary proof of vaccination against COVID-19, is NO LONGER REQUIRED.
  3. The auditorium is currently operating at full capacity.
  4. The Colony Theatre has reopened the lobby bar so you can feel free to enjoy a toast before performances. However, food and/or drinks WILL NOT be allowed inside the auditorium at this time.

FURTHER PRECAUTION

  1. All our staff, ushers, casts, and crews are fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  2. Regular testing of all staff, ushers, casts, and crews for COVID-19
  3. The Colony Theatre has been equipped with state-of-the-art ventilation and MERV13 filtration to ensure healthy circulation of fresh and filtered air
  4. All areas of the Colony Theatre are sanitized daily and between performances  according to CDC Safety and Sanitizing guidelines
  5. Touchless hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the theater
  6. Signage at all entrances and high traffic locations encouraging distancing between parties.

Refunds will be available for anyone who submits confirmation of a positive test result in the 14-day period prior to their selected performance date.

Specific health and safety guidelines are subject to change and will be communicated to our patrons prior to performances as well as updated on Miami New Drama’s website and social media channels.
